Physical science solutions to cure kidney diseases

Northwestern University, in partnership with the University of Southern California, serves as a national resource that advances kidney research by harnessing cutting-edge physical science technologies, interdisciplinary expertise, and shared scientific infrastructure.

As a consortium member of the national George M. O’Brien Kidney Resource Alliance (OKRA), the NU–USC collaborative resource equips investigators with the tools, reagents, and platforms needed to generate real-time insights into kidney biology and accelerate the development of novel therapies for kidney disease.

We are supported by the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases of the National Institutes of Health under Award Number U54DK137516.

Our Mission
