SciHigh Summer Program
SciHigh is an immersive enrichment experience for rising high school seniors in Chicago, IL and the surrounding suburbs. The summer program gives students the opportunity to develop practical research skills, build confidence, and explore their potential in science. At the heart of SciHigh is a hands-on research internship, where students contribute to real-world projects alongside experienced scientists and researchers. Each student is thoughtfully matched with a mentor and host lab based on their skills, interests, and aspirations, creating a personalized experience that fosters growth and prepares them to thrive in science and research.
Northwestern Nephrology
The Division of Nephrology and Hypertension at Northwestern University delivers advanced, integrated care across specialized areas like kidney transplantation, chronic kidney disease, and home dialysis. By blending translational research, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and comprehensive fellowship training, the division actively works to improve patient outcomes and train the next generation of medical leaders.

Chicago KUH FORWARD Research Training
Chicago KUH FORWARD is an NIH-funded, multi-institutional program that unites leading Chicago institutions to mentor and develop the next generation of predoctoral and postdoctoral kidney, urologic, and hematologic (KUH) researchers. By leveraging a collaborative citywide network, the program connects trainees with vital mentorship, peer networks, and career development opportunities to advance KUH research.

The Center for Education & Career Development (CECD) serves as the dedicated training and education arm of NUCATS.
